Ostar Education, achievements in the future

As a student, what is the main purpose of learning? The real purpose of learning is to learn to learn. Learning to learn is a kind of thinking ability that you need to develop to explore the spirit of cultivation. Learning is not just about knowledge as there is always more to know, but it is more important to learn to improve creativity and cultivate good thinking ability. Creativity is vital to the study of mathematics, it is necessary to create mathematical models, understand mathematical methods, and improve the application of mathematical systems to different scenarios. This will create a more firm, self-confident character. The cultivation of good thinking quality is important for learning the abstract processes of mathematics, can help with mastering logical reasoning, and can help form excellent thinking quality and reasonable thinking habits. As a universal scientific language, mathematics is one of the simplest scientific languages, but also an indispensable tool for interpersonal communication. Each child should have a basic understanding of mathematics so that this simple, accurate language can be used to open the door of science.

What is the essence of education as an educator? Jaspers, a famous German philosopher, wrote about education: “The essence of education means that a tree shakes another tree, a cloud pushes another cloud, and one soul awakens another.” What is a good education? It is not to teach students about external knowledge, but to tap into their inner potential and let them perceive the world for themselves. Only by stimulating students to self-educate can they be said to have obtained a real education. There are an infinite number of topics to learn, and only by stimulating the student to want to study again can they truly succeed. They must have the self-conscious initiative to explore and seek out knowledge for themselves.

In more than 10 years of teaching experience, Mr. Zhang has summed up a set of unique teaching methods where you take the students as the main body, stimulate interest, guide thinking, and help the students build their own thinking mode. This results in a knowledge system and thinking network that constantly expands and helps students cultivate the spirit of exploration and tenacity of will. At the same time, each student is also the educator as they share their thoughts, make their thoughts clearer, and learn to express and raise their identity feelings which stimulates the desire to learn again.

One of Mr. Zhang’s students came to him with a mark of only 40% in mathematics, leading to a lot of anxiety in his parents about whether their child will be able to pass the course. Mr. Erin did not rush to instill a large amount of knowledge into the student, but instead gave him an assessment of relevant knowledge points in order to understand the problems of the student. This helped Mr. Erin make a detailed studying plan, and along with good co-operation from the student, resulted in a lot of progress. After tutoring began, the results on every test were significantly improved. The student finished with a mark of 60% and his parents were very happy.

Another student had just arrived in Canada and did not understand what the teacher was teaching in class. In this case, Mr. Erin taught the students how to read questions, how to find key words in the title and problem, and then assisted the student in many exercises. The student made a lot of progress very quickly and after a month, they were able to follow along in math class with out any additional aids.

A student in Grade 8 has to take the SAT exam in only a month. Mr. Erin summed up some typical questions, which not only taught the student how to do it, but also discussed with the students how to complete it;As long as the students are able to speak out, this kind of topic must be understood and able to do the same. Finally, the student is close to the full score through the exam.

Many students think very well but have bad habits which results in making mistakes. These students have inconsistent marks, sometimes achieving more than 90 and sometimes less than 70. In this case, Mr. Erin slows down his teaching and goes through their mathematical foundation step by step and makes sure the student completes their exercises calmly. Every day, Mr. Erin checks and encourages the student to complete the school homework and classroom practice. After only one or two months, there is visible improvement in the performance of the students.

Mr. Erin has tutored many students. In general, he finds the problem of students and devises a teaching strategy in half a month. Student achievement can be seen within a month.
